An evening of tributes, recognitions and championing humanitarian efforts

Project Dignity's Executive Director, Mr Koh Seng Choon, received a special mentioned at the Rotary Club of Pandan Valley's (RCPV) 40th Installation Dinner of the President & Board of Directors on Saturday, 2nd July 2022. It was an evening showcasing individuals' and the Rotarian humanitarian efforts in the region, especially, to PDG Dr Philbert Chin whose efforts and contributions span more than 30 years at RCPV championing the greater good. The Rotary Club gather members who are dedicated and share the passion for both community service and friendship.

That night, RCPV also pledged their efforts to raise funds for Project Dignity's Train-and-Place program. This program is the core program towards Project Dignity's mission, which is to restore dignity to the differently-abled and disadvantaged through vocation with passion. This structured vocational 22-day culinary training program is for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, individuals suffering from mental issues and the socially disadvantaged. The funds raised will cover the course fee, daily allowances throughout the program, daily lunch, course and training materials, ingredients, etc.)

Upon completing the course, the differently-abled trainees will be attached to our Dignity Kitchen facility for an On-The-Job-Training for two months to provide a sense of a real workplace situation.

Once again, we thanked the Rotary Club of Pandan Valley for their efforts in raising funds and creating further awareness, while Project Dignity continues to restore dignity to the differently-abled, equipping them with skill-sets and boosting their employability.

It's heartening to see the Rotary Club of Pandan Valley (RCPV) recognizing and celebrating the humanitarian efforts of individuals like Mr. Koh Seng Choon and PDG Dr. Philbert Chin. Their dedication to improving the lives of the differently-abled through Project Dignity's Train-and-Place program is truly commendable. This structured vocational training not only empowers these individuals with valuable skills but also offers them a real sense of purpose and dignity in the workplace. As RCPV continues its support for such noble causes, it's also essential to consider the practical aspects of living and working in a place like Singapore. Whether you're relocating or simply looking for a new place to stay, finding a comfortable and affordable rental can be a challenge.…
